چکیده
The study presents the performance of flexural strengthening concrete members exposed to partially unbonded prestressing with a particular emphasis on amount (0, 14.2, and 28.5%) cut strands-symmetrical asymmetrical damage. In addition examining influence strands remaining capacity post-tensioned effectiveness carbon fiber reinforced polymer laminates restoration, investigated results rectangular subjected four-point static bending load based composition laminate affected stress CFRP, failure mode, strength deflection are covered in this study. experimental revealed that usage CFRP has considerable impact strand strain. that, stiffness strengthened becomes increasingly significant within serviceability phases as damaged ratios increase. EB-CFRP increased by approximately 13%, which corresponds damage 14.28% about 9.5% for 28.57% damage, represents one unique findings field. Additionally, semi-empirical equations forecasting actual strain tendons were presented. suggested simple solve produce precise results. Doi: 10.28991/CEJ-2022-08-06-014 Full Text: PDF

Ultimate Unbonded Tendon Stress in CFRP Strengthened Post-Tensioned Indeterminate I-Beams Cast with HSCs
Based on the bending experiment for two-span continuous post-tension beams with unbounded tendons and externally applied CFRP sheets, the analysis of the stress increment of unbonded tendons is monitored in the loading process. Since self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a suitable innovation,, understanding the implementation of this type of concrete on the ultimate unbonded tendon stress is criti...
متن کاملUnbonded Post Tensioned Concrete in Fire: A Review of Data from Furnace Tests and Real Fires
The fire-safe design of concrete structures which incorporate post-tensioned prestressing tendons has recently been the subject of debate within the structural engineering community, particularly when unbonded post-tensioned (UPT) prestressing tendons are used. Despite several studies aimed at furthering our understanding of the response of UPT concrete structures in fire, many aspects of their...
متن کاملCfrp Strands for Flexural Strengthening of Steel Bridges
This paper explores the use of Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) material for strengthening of steel bridges. The research work includes an experimental program to study the effectiveness of using very small diameter CFRP strands, configured in a sheet format, for strengthening of steel structures. The experimental program includes scaled steel-concrete composite beams strengthened with th...
متن کاملFlexural Strengthening of Deficient Reinforced Concrete Beams with Post-Tensioned Carbon Composites using Finite Element Modelling
The application of external post-tensioned steel bars as an effective way to strengthen an existing bridge has been so far used in many different countries. In recent decades, however, they have been replaced by bars made from Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), as a material with high tensile strength and corrosion resistance, to address several concerns with steel bars such as their appli...
متن کاملAnalytical Solutions for the Flexural Behavior of Metal Beams Strengthened with Prestressed Unbonded CFRP Plates
Trapezoidal prestressed unbonded retrofit (TPUR) systems have been recently developed and tested. The authors have already developed a comprehensive and accurate analytical solution for the TPUR system that takes many system parameters into account. The main aim of this paper is to develop a simplified analytical solution for predicting the behavior of metal beams that have been strengthened wi...
